Privacy Policy

Last updated September 3, 2026

Offergrid helps people compare and order internet, electricity, and other home services from providers listed on this site. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Location and address. The ZIP code or street address you enter to see which services are available. An order or a provider handoff includes the full service address.
  • Contact details. Your name, email address, and phone number when you place an order or choose to share them before finishing signup on a provider's site. Sharing contact details before a provider handoff is optional.
  • Service details. Information needed to fulfil a specific service, such as an electricity meter identifier (ESIID) or requested start date.
  • Consent records. When you agree to be contacted, we keep a record of the exact wording you were shown, the date and time, the phone number and email it applied to, the providers it named, and technical details of the request (IP address, browser). See Being contacted below.
  • Usage data. Pages viewed, plans clicked, an anonymous session identifier, referring site, and campaign parameters. We use this to understand how the site is used and to attribute orders to the providers that fulfil them.

How we use it

  • To show you services available at your address and their prices.
  • To place your order with the provider you chose and let them fulfil it.
  • To send you transactional email about your order (confirmation, scheduling, status updates).
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site, and to prevent abuse.
  • To keep records that demonstrate the consent you gave, and honour its withdrawal.

Who we share it with

Providers. When you place an order or ask to be handed off to a provider, we share your contact details, service address, and service details with the provider(s) named at checkout, and only with them. Providers use that information under their own privacy policies, which are linked next to the consent checkbox where the provider has supplied one.

Resellers. If you reached this site through a link shared by a property manager, real-estate agent, or other partner, that partner can see the status of the order you placed through their link.

Service vendors. Infrastructure, email delivery, mapping, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under contract.

We do not sell your personal information.

Being contacted

When you place an order, you agree that the providers named at checkout and Offergrid may contact you about that order by phone, text message, and email. This is needed to confirm, schedule, and fulfil what you ordered.

Separately, and only if you tick the optional box, you can consent to the named providers calling and texting you with offers and promotions, including using an autodialer and prerecorded or artificial-voice messages. That consent is never a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply.

You can withdraw either consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, by telling the provider directly, or through our do-not-contact form. Withdrawal is recorded and passed to every provider that was named, who must honour it within ten business days. Withdrawing consent does not cancel an order you placed; the provider may still need to contact you to fulfil it.

How long we keep it

Order and consent records are kept for at least five years after the last activity so that consent (and its withdrawal) can be demonstrated, then deleted or anonymised. Usage data is kept in identifiable form for no longer than needed for the purposes above.

Your choices and rights

  • Share contact details before a provider handoff only if you want to.
  • Withdraw consent to be contacted through the do-not-contact form.
  • Ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to the retention needs above and applicable law.
